Re: Actions for Researchers Effective July 1, 2016
I am following up on my earlier request from October 26, 2011, requiring that all dossiers for Researchers be submitted with a Dean’s statement. Many of you have done so, but not all have as of yet complied with this request. For actions at the Associate and Above ranks with an effective date of July 1, 2016 that have not yet been submitted to APO, the final approval authority now resides with the Vice Chancellor of Academic Personnel. The deadline for Researchers this year is Monday, February 22, 2016.
CAP will extend invitations to Deans/Chairs should CAP render a recommendation that differs from their recommendation. Deans will continue to have approval authority for all actions at the Assistant Researcher rank unless the salary exceeds his/her authority. The action will then require approval by the Vice Chancellor of Academic Personnel.
